Euros 2011 – Team number update

After having missed out on sending their pre-registration sheet, late-comers got also some spots to join Euros in Barcelona. The original number of spots per region were not revised!

And there is another subtancial change:

“Wildcard tourney not confirmed yet. If we can’t do one, We’ll be allocating more spots, if we do, then this list is final and all spots will be decided there.”

Euros 2011 – News from Barcelona

We got news from Barcelona:

“we found a spot that might be able to host the event the first weekend
of june. If they confirm with us, then we keep those dates. If they say
they can’t do it, then it’ll be the last weekend of june…”

“Here is the first batch of spots allocated to each country. Spots were
chosen on the base of the pre-registration sheet filled by the cities,
which gave us an idea of not only the number of players in each country,
but also the strength of their communities.

We are making sure we can have a wildcard tourney, so that those that
couldn’t make it in their local qualifiers can still come and play.”

Die Spots werden also pro Land und nicht pro Stadt vergeben! Da die Deutschen Meisterschaften wohl nicht vor den Euros stattfinden können, wird eine eigene Euro-Quali für die acht deutschen Spots nötig. Gut, dass sich die Jungs aus Konstanz schon bereit erklärt haben, diese Euro-Quali zu organisieren. Sie soll vom 29.04. bis zum 01.05. auf diesem unglaublich geilen Platz stattfinden:

Terminänderung DM und Euros!!!

Der Termin für die Deutsche Bikepolo Meisterschaft 2011, die am 10. – 12.06. in Hannover stattfinden sollte, ist jetzt erst mal gecancelt. Grund ist die Beinahe-Überschneidung mit den Euros in Barcelona, die für das Wochenende davor angesagt waren.

Jetzt hat Barcelona einen neuen Termin für die Euros angekündigt: 23. – 27.06.2011, aber:

“Dates are most likely to be pushed back. We are looking at the last weekend of june, not the first one anymore. (23-27 of june). Will confirm in the next few days. Do not get your tickets yet!”

Wann die Deutsche Meisterschaft stattfinden wird, hängt wohl davon ab, ob der neue Termin für die Euros bestätigt wird und wie die Startplätze für die Euros vergeben werden, ob pro Land, pro (Polo)Region oder (jetzt gerade erklärt) pro Stadt. Mann, Mann, Mann!

Auch Städte, die sich noch nicht im Deutschen Forum angemeldet haben, sollten das bald nachholen, falls die Auswahl der Startplätze für die Euros (oder für andere Turniere) per Region oder Land vergeben werden sollten. Jede Stadt bekommt dort ein eigenes Forum, um sich auszutauschen. Und ihr bleibt immer auf dem Laufenden!
