“Terrain Dur” is taking place

Terrain dur is a touring exhibition about the young history of bike Polo and is taking place in Canteleu near Rouen. The artists are Eugène and Yaralt, in polo life playing for Rouen’s team Broken Legs, they describe their bike polo show as follows:

“Hardcourt Bikepolo emerged from the United States more or less ten years ago, and for about 5 years in Europe. This urban sport, close to fix gears, quickly revealed a strong imagery. Graphic designers, Illustrators, photographs, film makers… often players them self, got a hold on of the different equipments and visuals to invest them and personalize them. Like many have seen in the Skateboarding universe, this new urban sport offers the same creativity and aesthetic freedoms. This exhibition will reunite, we hope, a large representation of graphic productions that Bikepolo has brought up.”

They build a small polo world called “Yorgo” in dependence on “The inventor of bike polo” and equipped it with all the polo stuff we like and use every polo day. Well done, guys!

More pictures and information about the exhibition get on guidoline. Would be nice to visite the polo cube in Germany one time…?

More portraits!

Last year at Greifmasters 2010, talented photographer and polo player Alexander Schindel called all players into a separate room, took a picture of them and  gave them a form with a few questions to fill in. The result is I know about you, a collection of the faces of European bike polo.

Well done, Alex!
